Informationen zum Prüfungsdatum
Der exakte Klausurtermin wird rechtzeitig im Kurs bekannt gegeben; i.d.R. liegt dieser an einem Abend in der vorletzten bzw. letzten regulären Woche des Vorlesungszeitraumes eines jeden Semesters an der FAU. Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Anmeldung zur Prüfungsleistung gesondert zur Anmeldung zum Kurs erfolgen muss (ebenfalls über das vhb-Portal). Studierende der FAU mögen sich bitte zusätzlich noch über campo angemelden, um die spätere Notenverbuchung zu vereinfachen (Prüfungsnummer 70061).
Notenverbuchung:
Studierende der FAU bekommen die Prüfungsergebnisse direkt in campo verbucht. Studierende anderer Hochschulen erhalten bei bestandener Klausur einen benoteten Schein, den Sie bei dem Prüfungsamt ihrer Heimathochschule einreichen können. Diese Scheine werden per Post verschickt, bitte geben Sie deshalb eine gültige Adresse bei der vhb an.
ECTS-Punkte:
Studierende der FAU und anderer Hochschulen erhalten für diesen Kurs 5 ECTS-Punkte.
Dauer des Lehrangebotes:
Im SS: von April bis Juli; im WS: von Oktober bis Februar (die exakten Zeiten werden jeweils im vhb-Kursportal angezeigt). Die Bearbeitung der Unterlagen erfolgt komplett in Eigenleistung der Studierenden und in vollkommen freier Zeiteinteilung. Abgesehen von der Klausur gibt es keine weiteren Anwesenheitstermine.
Kursbeschreibung:
Ziel des Kurses ist es, die Grundlagen des Operations- und Supply Chain Managements in Bezug auf die industriellen Transformationen zu vermitteln. Beginnend mit Grundlagen wie Supply Chain Planung, Supply Chain Prozessen und Supply Chain Strategien mit durchgängigem Bezug zur Digitalisierung, verlagert sich der Fokus auf Industrie 4.0 und die damit verbundenen Prinzipien, Technologien und IT-Systeme. Darüber hinaus werden die Themen Nachhaltigkeit und Industrie 5.0 behandelt.
Der Kurs besteht aus 10 Vorlesungen, die durch Gastvorträge, Fallstudien, zusätzliche Literatur sowie Übungen und Self-Assessments angereichert werden. Da die gesamte Vorlesung, die Literatur, das Zusatzmaterial und die Prüfung in englischer Sprache verfasst sind, sind Deutschkenntnisse nicht erforderlich.

Information on the examination date
The exact date will be announced in time in the StudOn course, usually it takes place on an evening in the second to last or last regular lecture week of each semester at FAU. Registration for the exam via the vhb-homepage is mandatory (this is seperate from the course registration). The deadline to enroll for the exam is also announced in StudOn. This only applies to FAU students: Please also register via campo, this helps us to facilitate the grading vastly (exam# 70061).
Certificate of Achievement:
Every non-FAU student that passes the written exam will receive a graded certificate of achievement via mail (so please make sure to inform us of any address changes) in German (and in English if needed). This achievement certificate can be handed in to the examination office of your home university in order to credit this course to your student account. Please make sure that you are eligible to credit this course in the first place.
ECTS Points awarded:
FAU students and students from other universities will be awarded 5 ECTS for passing the course.
Duration of the course:
In summer terms: from April to July; in winter terms: from October to February (the exact dates are shown on the vhb-course portal). The study of the material takes place entirely on the students‘ own initiative and in completely free time management. Apart from the exam, there are no other attendance dates.
Content:
The aim of the course is to impart the basics of operations and supply chain management related to the industrial transformations. Starting with basics such as supply chain planning, supply chain processes and supply chain strategies with continuous reference to digitization, the focus shifts to Industry 4.0 and the associated principles, technologies and IT systems. Moreover, the topics sustainability and Industry 5.0 are covered.
It consists of 10 lectures, which are enriched by guest lectures, case studies, additional readings as well as exercises and self-assessments. As the entire lecture, the readings, the additional material and the exam is in English, proficiency in German is not necessary.
