Information on the date of the examination
The exact date of the exam will be announced in good time in the course; it is usually on an evening in the penultimate or last regular week of the lecture period of each semester at FAU. Please note that registration for the exam must be done separately from the registration for the course (also via the vhb portal). FAU students should also register via campo in order to simplify the later recording of grades (exam number 43711).
Recording of grades:
Students at FAU receive their examination results directly in campo. Students from other universities receive a graded certificate upon passing the exam, which they can submit to the examination office of their home university. These notes are sent by post, so please provide a valid address to the vhb.
ECTS credits:
Students of FAU and the University of Würzburg receive 5 ECTS credits for this course. Students of the consortium universities of the University of Bamberg receive 6 ECTS credits, because of different grading schemes. Students from other universities receive 5 ECTS credits.
Duration of the courses:
In the summer semester: from April to July; in the winter semester: from October to February (the exact times are displayed in the vhb course portal). The processing of the documents is carried out entirely by the students themselves and in completely free time management. Apart from the exam, there are no other attendance dates.

The course „Introduction to Entrepreneurial Future Research“ teaches the basics of entrepreneurial future research and is structured as follows:

- Session 1: The basics of futurology: Basics and overview of methods
- Session 2: Organization is half the future: The foresight process
- Session 3: Future can be trained: Foresight methods in detail, esp. Scenario technique
- Session 4: Scenarios are art and science: „Scenario Writing“ & Storytelling, Marketing & Communication
- Session 5: Thinking outside the box: Scanning, trends & wildcards
- Session 6: Guest lecture on the topic: Trends & Strategies
- Session 7: The Future from the Computer: Foresight Support Systems, Trend Databases & Co.
- Session 8: Guest lecture on the topic: Foresight Support Systems and Innovation
- Session 9: Looking to the Future: Selected Trends, Technologies, Scenarios and Curiosities
- Session 10: Shaping the Future: Scenario Transfer to Strategy, Innovation & Co.
Course Registration:
Registration must be made via the Virtual University of Bavaria . After that, you will have access to the StudOn course with all course materials.
